Dr. Ulas Basar Gezgin is an Associate Professor, a journalist, a social science researcher and an academic with more than a decade of teaching experience in various institutions in Turkey, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, and research experience in New Zealand (PhD work), Australia (joint project) and Latin America (journalism). He is a member of the Turkish Psychological Association (since 2001) and the Managerial Board of the Istanbul branch of the association (2014-2016). He is known with his works in political psychology and applied psychology focusing on rights movements and democratization.
